Created for AviatorPro, this project is a fully detailed, 1:1 digital recreation of the Lycoming LIO-360-B1G6 aircraft engine. The entire assembly was built from the ground up, with every major component modeled individually to accurately represent the engine’s construction, proportions, and mechanical relationships. The asset includes the complete internal and external engine assembly, from the crankcase, cylinders, pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, camshaft, and valve train to the induction, ignition, exhaust, lubrication, and accessory components. Each part was carefully organized to support exploded views, isolated system demonstrations, maintenance visualizations, and detailed flight-training content. Beyond the modeling, I developed a procedural animation system to reproduce the engine’s mechanical operation with precise, interconnected motion. The crankshaft rotation drives the pistons, connecting rods, valve train, and associated components, allowing the complete engine cycle to be animated consistently and adjusted from a centralized control. The final result is a technically detailed, production-ready engine asset designed for both cinematic presentation and educational visualization. It demonstrates my ability to combine precision hard-surface modeling, mechanical understanding, procedural animation, and clear visual communication within a complex aviation-training project.
